This page will provide how to calculate a Grade Point Average (GPA), why the GPA is important from seventh grade through twelfth grade, resources for textbooks used at Cal Aero and resources to help manage your time and links for support throughout your time in junior high school.

 Step 1:  Convert all letter grades into numbers

• For each "A" you get (+ or - does not matter) 4 points
• For each "B" you get (+ or - does not matter) 3 points
• For each "C" you get (+ or - does not matter) 2 points
• For each "D" you get (+ or - does not matter) 1 point
• For each "F" you get 0 points                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

 Step 2:  Add all the numbers together

The minimum sum you want to earn is 12 points.  That means you have earned a 2.0 GPA.   A 2.0 GPA is the minimum GPA a student needs in order to be eligible for school activities.
